These past couple of weeks have been packed full of change. Changes in every part of my life, with a new living environment and many other things. College is a great experience, classes are different than high school, as expected, but they require a different amount of focus and motivation. While living on campus, you have the entire 24 hours of each day to work on homework, sleep, exercise, do laundry, shower, all of it is on the same campus as you attend classes and hangout with friends. This change in pace for how you live life is a large one, but very necessary to becoming independent. This past week was the first time I have ever done laundry; was that an experience...it made me grateful for my parents who did this work while I was living at home. My classes are challenging but not so extremely complex as to where I can't handle them. I've been driving around the city and have found my way around, I've been able to get places without using my GPS all of the time, thankfully. During our convocation, one of the speakers noted that the first 90 days of our time spent here at college with create habits that we will carry with us, for the rest of our lives. This thought, 90 days, made me feel uneasy. 90 days to create how I will live the rest of my life? I have found that it really isn't that overwhelming. Jordin Sparks has a song that says, "Changes come, but where they go, you never know." I want to have that rolling attitude, things come into my life, but they don't have to change who I am; the fabric of what I am. I hope that over the next 90 days, I become more mature and independent on myself, and that I become a leader of the future, changing and making things better for those who will come after me. What will you do in the next 90 days?

I Can Only Imagine...
These last few weeks in our community have been filled with graduation parties, summer road trip ideas, and cookouts. What is on my mind right now is our friend, Jon Griffin. I don't have all the specific details to list out here, but Darci (his mom) has created a CaringBridge page for the entire story to be available online...go over and check it out, show them all some love, and on top of that, pray for them. I can only imagine how it would feel to be that young and have such a great mountain to overcome. I remind myself daily that God is in control of everything, and He has a plan for Jon.

Party Time
Today is the day to enjoy what has happened so far in my life. I can't wait to see old friends and enjoy hanging out with everyone. Mom has being preparing for this day for what seems like years, and everything will be great. If you have time, stop out and get some food and take a picture with me. Thank you to everyone that helped me get this far and for everything you have done, I really do appreciate it!
